A common issue when securing a helmet to the exterior of a pack is it wobbling back and forth, shifting weight and bouncing around. This Helmet Retainer set up utilizes a laser cut piece of nylon as a sort of “net” around the helmet, and uses shock cordage as webbing to cinch and secure the setup to wherever desired. The different leaf shaped cutouts provide a 3D camouflage effect, but unlike typical “scrim” these cutouts are intentionally spaced far enough apart to provide the 3D effect while not sacrificing the strength of the fabric. This design is modular and interoperable with many different setups including: plate carriers, packs, chest rigs, battle jackets, soft armor setups, etc.
