This design does NOT require a speaker-mic to be connected to the radio in order to secure the guard in place, nor does it fail in protecting the volume knob.
Utilizes a friction fit, the guard is slid over the existing antenna and knobs and then secured with a firm press downward.
Antenna Clearance: 18.25mm (11/16”) in diameter is the max size of compatible antennas
